CHD Awareness Week- Save lives! Spread the word!

We're packing our schedule full of Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week 2010 activities.

Congenital Heart Disease Awareness week is February 7 to 14.

Here's what we've got planned, all in sweet Cora's name:
  • Kristine is guest posting on different blogs each day. I'll tweet where I'm at and we'll play a game of where in the Blogosphere are Kristine and Cora today. (Fun, I know).
  • Kicking off the week as a guest on the Momotics Blog Talk Radio Show. At 3 p.m. I'll chat with Danielle from Momotics about Cora and CHD. Follow this link to listen.
  • February 14, Kristine is writing a special guest post for this blogger's Seven Days, Seven Hearts project.
  • We're passing out pink bows at to be determined location(s) in my hometown (Decatur, Indiana).
  • We're spending the week supporting all of the congenital heart disease awareness projects everyone else is working on! Drop Kristine an email, kbrite@gmail.com, if you need/want ANY help with a project that week.
  • On February 13 we're participating in the 1in100 event, the goal is to hold 100 events across the country to spread awareness. An event can be anything from a small dinner to a large affair. More details on the 1in10.org site. (Ben and I are doing a small dinner this year).
  • And the grand finale, on Valentine's Day, we're speaking at the first meeting of It's My Heart Michigana Chapter in Elkhart, Indiana.
I said we were keeping busy!

Wanna help Cora???? Here's how you can:

  • Pass on by tweeting, sharing on Facebook, or linking on your blog my posts throughout the week.
  • Tell Cora's Story, which will save lives!!!!
  • Comment on my posts (this helps much, helps me keep up spirits to keep spreading her story).
  • Send me your ideas, get creative and spread Cora's Story however you like. Just make sure you send me a note so I can see and be a proud Mama.
  • Put one of these banners or badges on your blog or Web site (Thanks Single Mama Central for making these. They are gorgeous and perfect!):
