Ten wishes

I wish Cora were here more than anything.

I wish babies didn’t die.

I wish the United States didn’t have a maternal death rate higher than many less-developed countries.

I wish there was a cure for congenital heart disease.

I wish that a baby wasn’t probably being born with a CHD while I write this post.

I wish I could sleep.

I wish I didn’t feel so angry.

I wish I could comfort every grieving mother.

I wish I could take away their pain.

I wish I could save them all, every mother and child.
